    Waterbom Bali

Waterbom Bali has been splashing visitors since 1993 and remains one of the most popular days out on the island. The park sits on Jalan Kartika Plaza in Tuban, south Kuta, and spreads across nearly five hectares of landscaped tropical gardens, so the slides are surrounded by greenery and shady lawns rather than bare concrete.

What sets Waterbom apart is the mix of genuine thrill rides and an easy, family-friendly layout. There are 28 slides and attractions in total, from near-vertical speed drops for adrenaline junkies to gentle raft rides and a dedicated children’s area. A cashless wristband system lets you leave your wallet in the locker and pay for food and drinks with a tap.

    What to expect

Thrill-seekers head straight for Climax, where a trapdoor opens beneath you, and Smash Down, a near-vertical descent. Boomerang shoots riders up a steep wall, Twin Racers lets you race a friend on mats, while Pipeline, Double Twist and Green Vipers offer twists and tunnels. Constrictor is a long tube ride and Tailspin spirals down into a bowl. For groups, Python is a multi-person raft ride, and Mini Boomerang is a gentler version for younger riders. Between runs, drift around the lazy river or grab a drink at a swim-up bar. A FlowRider surf simulator costs extra.

    Safety & requirements

Riders must be at least 100 cm tall for the larger slides; the kids’ area has no minimum height. Most slides accept single riders up to 136 kg, with some restrictions above 145 kg. Lifeguards supervise every ride. Wear secure swimwear without zips or buckles, and follow the start-point instructions on each slide.

    Tips

Arrive at 09:00 opening to ride the big slides before queues build, especially on weekends and Indonesian school holidays. Reapply waterproof sunscreen often and bring a waterproof phone pouch. Rent a gazebo if you are a family or group, the newer ones in the Oasis Gardens are especially comfortable. Pre-load your wristband so you are not queuing at the top-up desk, and plan a full day: most visitors stay five or six hours.

Families with young children will find plenty to do in the dedicated kids’ area and on the gentler rides, while teenagers and adults can spend hours on the thrill slides. Food and drink are available throughout the park at cafés, bars and a food court, so there is no need to bring a picnic. If you are visiting as a couple, the Duo Pass packages sometimes include extras like towels, lockers and foot massages, so compare these against standard tickets before you buy.
