KU DE TA Sunday Market

Every Sunday, KU DE TA’s lawn and beachfront on Seminyak Beach turn into a relaxed weekly market that mixes long-table brunching, browsing and family time. It is one of the easiest ways to experience the venue in daylight, and it costs nothing to walk in.

The emphasis is on quality over quantity: a curated line-up of food stalls from well-known local kitchens, designer and artisan retailers, and a morning programme of activities for children so parents can linger over coffee.

About the event

The market runs year-round on Sundays. Food vendors trade 10:00–15:00, retail stalls 10:00–16:00 and the kids’ activities 10:00–13:00. Entry is free.

Line-up / programme

• Food: six restaurants take part, including Estia Greek, Pie Society and KU DE TA’s own kitchen with Salt Lick, with charcuterie and bakery spreads
• Drinks: Kura Kura Beer and cocktails from the KU DE TA bar
• Shopping: handcrafted jewellery, kids’ clothing, natural beauty products and artisan souvenirs
• Kids: morning cooking classes and craft workshops
• Also on Sundays: KU DE TA lists separately bookable workshops – resin ocean and kite painting (10:00–14:00) and perfume making (10:00–15:00)

Venue

KU DE TA is at the ocean end of Jalan Kayu Aya (Jl. Laksmana) in Seminyak, with lawns and daybeds that run straight onto the sand. There is on-site parking, and the restaurant and bar stay open after the market for anyone who wants to stay for sunset.

Before you go

• Arrive before 11:00 for the best choice of food.
• Kids’ programme finishes at 13:00, so plan family visits for the morning.
• Bring a tote for purchases and some cash for smaller stalls.

Make a day of it

The market works well as the first stop of a slow Seminyak Sunday. After browsing, you can move from the market stalls to a table on the lawn for a long lunch, take a swim at Seminyak Beach in front of the venue, and stay into the afternoon as the crowd shifts towards sunset drinks. Families particularly like the format: children are occupied with the morning workshops while adults shop, and the open lawns give little ones space to run around. If you are shopping for gifts, the jewellery, natural skincare and artisan souvenir stalls are a good alternative to the mass-produced goods in Seminyak’s main streets, and you are buying directly from the makers.
