Bali Swing

Bali Swing is the park that kicked off the island’s jungle-swing craze, and its photos of travellers soaring over a green valley have become a kind of Bali postcard. The attraction now operates at Sidan in Gianyar, east of Ubud, where a hillside above a jungle ravine has been fitted with swings, nest-shaped platforms and viewing terraces designed for dramatic photos.

What makes the official park stand out from the many copycats is scale and safety. A single ticket unlocks 12 attractions, each with staff to fit harnesses and guide you through the jump, and there is a restaurant on site. The park also offers combination tours with nearby attractions, making it easy to fold into a day around Ubud.

What to expect

After check-in and a safety briefing, you move between the attractions at your own pace. They include the Flying Swing, Panoramic Swing, Tandem Jungle Swing for two, a Romantic Bed Swing, the Spinning Luna, the Jungle Nest, Panoramic Nest and Hobbit Nest, the Jungle Heart and Gate of Heaven, plus the Signature Bloom Terrace and Cinematic Terraces for photos. Staff clip you into a harness on every swing, push you out over the drop and help frame shots if you ask.

• Family ticket – IDR 1,200,000 for four people aged 5–75.
• Park entrance only – IDR 50,000 for non-swinging companions.

Combo packages add an ATV ride, rafting, an elephant sanctuary, Ubud Monkey Forest, Kanto Lampo Waterfall or a flower bath. Meals are not included but the restaurant is à la carte.

Safety & requirements

Children must be at least five years old. Weight limits are 250 kg for single and tandem swings, 350 kg for the bed swing and 200 kg for the nests. The swings are not recommended if you are pregnant or have serious health conditions. Always follow the staff’s instructions and keep phones secured.

Tips

Go early in the morning for softer light, cooler temperatures and shorter queues – last entry is at 17:00. Flowing dresses rented on site make for striking photos, but wear comfortable shoes for the steps between platforms. Bring a small bag, as loose items are not allowed on the swings. Combine with a waterfall or rafting nearby to make a full day out.

Most visitors spend around two to three hours at the park, including time for photos and a drink or meal at the restaurant overlooking the valley. The professional photo packages are worth considering if you want shots of yourself mid-swing rather than relying on a friend with a phone. For families, the family ticket for four is the best value, and children as young as five can join the swings with staff supervision.
