La Brisa sits right on the foreshore of Echo Beach, one of Canggu’s surf spots, and it looks unlike any other beach club on the island. The whole place was built using reclaimed wood from more than 500 old fishing boats, hand-decorated and pieced together into bars, towers and lounge decks shaded by palms.
The result is part shipwreck, part Mediterranean beach bar — a relaxed, photogenic hangout with sunset views over the surf, pools, a spa area and multiple places to sit, from a first-floor restaurant to elevated tower seating.
The vibe
Easygoing by day, busier at sunset. La Brisa draws a mix of surfers, couples and friends; families come for the shallow pool, and dogs on a leash are welcome. When the sun goes down the lights in the timber rafters come on and the atmosphere becomes more of a sundowner party.
Food & drinks
The kitchen focuses on seafood and Mediterranean-style sharing food — think char-grilled tiger prawns, ceviche and pizzas — with cocktails built around local ingredients. Several areas, including cocktail tables, low bar tables and the first-floor restaurant, have no minimum spend.
Sunday Market
Every Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00 La Brisa hosts a market with food stalls, fashion, beauty and wellness vendors — a good way to spend a slow Sunday before the sunset crowd arrives.
Who it suits
La Brisa is a good pick if you want the scale and facilities of a beach club without the pounding-bass atmosphere. The reclaimed-boat architecture makes it one of the most photogenic spots in Canggu, and the mix of pools, lounges and restaurant tables means it suits couples on a sunset date as well as friends sharing plates and families spending a Sunday at the market.
Echo Beach is a surf spot rather than a swimming beach, so the pools are the place to cool off, while the ocean is best enjoyed from a lounger watching the surfers. Afterwards you can walk along the sand towards Batu Bolong or grab dinner nearby. Plan ahead for sunset: evening seating runs on minimum spends, and the best spots are booked well in advance in the dry season, especially on weekends.
Best time to go
Sunday is the busiest and most varied day thanks to the market, which runs from 10:00 to 16:00 before the sunset crowd arrives. For a quieter visit, go midweek in the early afternoon, when daytime online bookings carry no minimum spend. Dry season sunsets over Echo Beach are spectacular, and the surf is usually busy with riders, which adds to the view.

- Daytime online bookings (13:00–15:59) carry no minimum spend.
- Evening seating (16:00–20:00) has minimum spends from IDR 1m to 3.5m++ depending on the area.
- Children under 12 are not allowed in the Tower seating.
- The venue closes on Nyepi, Bali’s Day of Silence.

Know before you go
Getting there
La Brisa is at the western end of Echo Beach in Canggu, about 10 minutes from Batu Bolong and 45–60 minutes from the airport. Head down Jalan Pantai Batu Mejan to the beach; scooter parking is easy, but car traffic backs up around sunset.
