Mount Batur Sunrise Experience by 4WD Jeep
About
Instead of trekking, this tour takes you up Mount Batur, one of Bali’s active volcanoes in Kintamani, by 4WD jeep along dirt tracks to watch the sunrise. You spend around 2 hours at the viewpoint, where a simple breakfast is served, then explore the black lava fields.
Hotel pickup is at about 2.45am, or you can meet the team at 4.45am near Toya Bungkah at the base. An English or Japanese speaking guide leads the tour, which lasts about 8.5 to 10.5 hours. Add-ons include a short summit hike, hot springs, a waterfall or Tegallalang Rice Terrace.
