About
Sisterfields brought Melbourne-style café culture to Seminyak and helped kick-start Bali’s brunch obsession. The formula is simple but done well: an all-day breakfast menu with creative twists, generous lunch plates, and specialty coffee made with care, served in a light-filled room that feels fresh from the first flat white of the morning.
It sits on Jalan Kayu Cendana, a side street just off the Petitenget end of Seminyak, which makes it a natural first stop before the beach or a long shopping afternoon. The crowd is a mix of holidaymakers, local expats and remote workers, and the atmosphere is relaxed and chatty rather than hushed.
The food
Breakfast is the main event and runs all day, so there is no rush to get up. Expect well-built egg dishes, bowls and toasts, alongside more substantial lunch options such as burgers, pasta and fish and chips. Portions are generous and presentation is bright and photogenic without feeling fussy. Fresh juices and smoothies round out the drinks list for those skipping coffee.
Signature dishes
- Acai berry bowl – a thick, fruit-topped breakfast favourite
- Bacon Benedict – poached eggs, bacon and hollandaise
- Original Dirty Burger – the café’s signature lunch
- Short ribs rigatoni – slow-cooked beef with pasta
- Fish and chips
- Specialty espresso coffee, from flat whites to cold brew
The space
The interior is clean and contemporary: marble tables, turquoise and white chairs and large windows that flood the room with natural light. There are indoor tables and a few spots to linger over a second coffee. It’s casual enough for shorts and flip-flops, but polished enough to feel like a treat.
Tips for your visit
- Seating is first come, first served for small groups; weekend mornings between 09:00 and 11:00 are busiest.
- Groups of six or more should book well ahead.
- Come before 08:30 for the calmest atmosphere and easiest table.
- Open until 21:00, so it works for an early dinner too.
- Pair it with a browse of the boutiques on nearby Jalan Petitenget and Kayu Aya.
Who it suits
Sisterfields is an easy pick for almost anyone staying in Seminyak or Petitenget. Couples come for a slow brunch before the beach, solo travellers like the friendly counter service and bright room, and families appreciate a menu with plenty of familiar comfort food. Remote workers drop in for a coffee and an early lunch, although it is best treated as a café rather than a coworking space during the busy mid-morning rush.
If you are new to Bali’s café scene, it is a good benchmark: a polished, reliable brunch that shows why the island has become one of Asia’s most talked-about breakfast destinations. Follow it with a walk down to Petitenget Beach or a browse through the nearby boutiques.
For a dependable, well-executed brunch in Seminyak, Sisterfields is still one of the easiest recommendations to make.
