About
SUNDARI Wellness is a day spa on busy Jalan Petitenget that takes its cue from Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese philosophy of keeping harmony between people, nature and the spiritual world. That idea runs through the whole menu: treatments are designed to calm the nervous system as much as to loosen muscles, and the team leans on local botanicals and in-house oil blends rather than generic imported products.
What makes SUNDARI stand out on a strip full of massage parlours is its two-sided personality. On one side sit traditional healing rituals, hot stone work and flower baths; on the other, a genuinely clinical skin programme using micro-currents, collagen induction therapy and stem-cell based products. It means you can book a deep, meditative massage and a results-driven facial in the same afternoon, then finish with a sauna.
Treatments
The menu is split into massage treatments, body treatments, face treatments, hand and feet care, healing rituals, and sauna and bath rituals. Massages run from gentle Balinese and aromatherapy sessions to firmer deep-tissue and sports-focused work. Body treatments include scrubs and wraps, and hand and foot care covers everything from a quick mani-pedi to a full reflexology session.
Signature rituals
- Hot Lava Stone Massage, heated volcanic stones glide along the body to melt tension and, in the spa’s view, rebalance the chakras.
- Healing rituals, longer journeys combining massage, energy work and a bath, rooted in Balinese wellness traditions.
- Advanced facials, micro-current lifting and collagen induction therapy for firmer, brighter skin.
- Sauna & bath rituals, heat, steam and a floral soak to open and close a treatment.
The space
Behind its street frontage, SUNDARI is quiet and softly lit, designed to feel like a retreat from the traffic outside. Treatment rooms include options for couples, and the sauna area lets you warm up before a massage or cool down after a scrub. It is a good middle ground between a no-frills massage shop and a five-star resort spa.
Booking tips
SUNDARI is open daily from 09:00 to 22:00, so evening appointments after a day at the beach are easy to fit in. Book ahead for the advanced facials, which need specialist therapists and equipment, and mention any skin concerns or recent sun exposure when you reserve. WhatsApp is the fastest way to confirm a slot. If you are combining treatments, start with the sauna or body scrub and end with the facial so your skin is prepped. Expect government tax and service to be added to menu prices.
For a first visit, a good formula is a sauna warm-up followed by a massage, with a facial booked separately on another day so your skin is not overloaded. Couples can share a room for massages and rituals. Because SUNDARI sits in the middle of Petitenget’s dining strip, it is easy to time a late-afternoon treatment before dinner nearby, though allow a little extra time for traffic on the one-way loop around Petitenget and Kayu Aya at sunset.
