ASDP is waiving port service fees on round-trip ferry tickets between Ketapang and Gilimanuk and between Padangbai and Lembar for travel from 22/12/2026 to 10/01/2027, with sales opening on 07/11/2026.

Taking the ferry to Java or Lombok over the holidays just got a little cheaper. State ferry operator PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry says it will waive 100 percent of port service fees for round-trip travellers during the Christmas and New Year period, as part of a government stimulus programme for year-end travel.
Which Bali crossings are included
The waiver covers 14 ports on seven crossings across Indonesia, including the two main routes in and out of Bali:
- Ketapang (Banyuwangi) to Gilimanuk (Jembrana), the crossing between Java and west Bali
- Padangbai (Karangasem) to Lembar (West Lombok), the crossing between east Bali and Lombok
Both regular and express services are included. The waiver applies to foot passengers and to vehicles in Golongan II and Golongan IVA.
Key dates
Tickets with the stimulus go on sale from 07/11/2026, for departures between 22/12/2026 and 10/01/2027. It is only available on round-trip (pergi pulang) bookings. ASDP President Director Heru Widodo said the company hopes the policy will “help ease travel costs” for holiday travellers.
What it does and does not cover
Only the port service fee is waived. The source does not say that the ferry fare itself changes, so expect to pay the regular ticket price. Crossings at Gilimanuk and Padangbai get very busy at year end, so book ahead and allow extra time at the port.
