North Bali’s newest landmark is nearly finished. Speaking to the Bali Provincial Parliament in Denpasar on 30/10/2026, Governor Wayan Koster said the main structure of Turyapada Tower in Buleleng regency is complete. The tower was built as a broadcast transmitter but has also been designed as a tourist attraction, and the work now moves to the visitor areas around it.
What is being built now
With the tower itself standing, the final phase covers everything a visitor will use: landscaped gardens, a restaurant, relaxation spaces, a new access road, and a gondola terminal with its cabins. The gondola units are being shipped from China in stages, and installation is scheduled to begin in November.
When will it open?
The province is aiming to finish the whole project by the end of December 2026. The official opening will follow on an auspicious day that has not yet been chosen. As the Governor put it, they now only need to “find a good day for the inauguration”. Ticket prices, opening hours, the tower’s height and gondola details had not been published in the source we checked, so we will update this story once they are announced.
Plan a North Bali trip in the meantime
You do not need to wait for the tower to explore the north. The black-sand beaches of Lovina, the waterfalls around Gitgit and Sekumpul, the lakes and temples of Bedugul and the reefs of Pemuteran all make for a rewarding trip. The drive from south Bali takes several hours, so an overnight stay makes the most of it.
